Madge still on the hunt

NY Post

It will take more than another fall off a horse to spook Madonna out of adding to her pricey New York real estate portfolio.

The Material Mom, who recently went to contract on a townhouse on East 81st Street, is still actively looking for a house in horse country. Both the Hamptons and Westchester remain options.

We hear that she recently spent a weekend at the Wolffer Estate Vineyards in Sagaponack. The property boasts a 12,000-square-foot Tuscan-style villa and stables on 100 acres. Calls to the vineyard were not returned, but we're told Wolffer Estate is profitable and not currently on the market.

Last weekend, the vineyard hosted a memorial for its founder, Christian Wolffer, who died in a collision with a boat while he was swimming in Brazil last December.

Madonna Going Back to the Gym Wednesday ; Wasn’t Questioned By Police Over Horseback Riding Fall

Us magazine

Buzz up!Don't worry about Madonna, who fell off a horse in the Hamptons over the weekend.

"She's going to be fine. She fell on her butt," her trainer Tracy Anderson told Usmagazine.com Monday at Cookie Magazine’s Smart Cookie Awards in NYC. "She's fine."

How fine?

"We're going to train tomorrow," she told Us.

When it comes to working out, "We have our set training," Anderson said. "She's like a professional athlete. She can't mess around with her training. I mean, she has to be able to perform in front of 70,000 people who are sucking the life out of her, and she's singing and dancing. There are no shortcuts when you're training in that way."

Madonna’s rep issued a new statement on Tuesday saying that police did not, in fact, question the pop star properly after she fell from a horse over the weekend in the Hamptons.

“Madonna was barely conscious and had fainted twice, right after the fall and when she was in the ambulance,” Madonna’s rep, Liz Rosenberg, said in a statement to Access Hollywood on Tuesday morning. “She only remembers giving the police her name. They never asked her what happened. This could have been a very dangerous situation and we’re just all grateful that she wasn’t hurt more seriously.”

MADGE GIDDY-UP & AT 'EM

NY Post

Madonna was back on her feet and enjoying a sunny Hamptons afternoon yesterday (right), less than 24 hours after taking a nasty horse-riding spill (below).

The Material Mom spent most of her day resting inside the Amagansett home of pal Gwyneth Paltrow, recovering from minor injuries from Saturday's fall at photographer Steven Klein's mansion.

When Madonna stepped out of Paltrow's home yesterday, she walked gingerly, but didn't appear to be in any obvious pain as she refused a request to pose for pictures.

Madonna's reps and Klein both blamed paparazzi for Saturday's accident, saying photographers jumped out of the bushes and spooked the horse.

Madonna falls from horse in NY; accident caused by paparazzi

AP via Yahoo!

NEW YORK – Madonna has taken a tumble while horseback riding in New York's Hamptons and has suffered "minor injuries" and bruises.

A spokeswoman says the pop star fell Saturday afternoon when the horse was startled by paparazzi who "jumped out of the bushes" to photograph her.

Spokeswoman Liz Rosenberg says Madonna was treated at a Southampton hospital and was released. She won't disclose more details on the singer's condition.

Rosenberg says the singer of such pop classics as "Like a Virgin" and "Material Girl" had been visiting friends in the Hamptons, a playground for the rich and famous on the eastern end of Long Island.

M shows interest in... polo!

NY Daily News

Madonna has dumped boyfriend Jesus Luz , says Us Weekly, allegedly because he was too dumb for her, but also because she’s “eyeing” Argentine polo player Nacho Figueras . Here’s some intel: Nacho is a married father of two. So, Madonna, he’s really nacho business.

*******

Madonna first spent two weeks in Palm Beach in January with her personal trainer and returned to hang out with polo superstar and Ralph Lauren model Nacho Figueras , who's helping her learn to play polo.

The Ralph Lauren model Figueras gave the Material Girl private polo lessons during her recent two-week stay in Wellington. She later returned to watch him play in a high-goal match.

Does anyone need more proof these days to make something of it?

“Shhhh, don’t make me talk about that,” Figueras said within earshot of his wife Delfina, a former model.

Well, is Madonna abandoning her interest in show jumping for polo?

“She is learning polo indeed,” Figueras said, “but whether she likes it better than jumping, you need to ask her yourself.

“She just likes horses.”

M in Florida this week; at the Palm Beach Int'l Equestrian Center

NY Daily News

"Madonna was playing favorites at the Palm Beach Int'l Equestrian Center - the Material Mom had a shutterbug booted out of the VIP tent while she hung out with famed photog pal Stephen Klein. "She's supposed to be taking some riding classes," says a spy, 'but I'm sure she doesn't want her picture taken during that, either!'"

Madonna spotted in Wellington, Florida at the Winter Equestrian Festival

;It was previously rumored that Madonna will make an appearance at the Winter Equestrian Festival. She fianlly was spotted there this Sunday.
Page2live reports that M "watched professional show-jumpers for nearly two hours from her third-row $35,000-per-season table at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center’s VIP club.
The Material Girl managed to go practically incognito behind thick dark glasses and under an orange baseball hat with a Che Guevara-like silhouette on the front."

Steven Klein is there with her, as you can see him
behind her in the photo:

The L.A. Times adds that
"Madonna was rumored to make an appearance at Sunday's $50,000 Equisport Agency Grand Prix. She was spotted by Dish Rag spies at the Equestrian Center this weekend, checking out the scene but mentioned she might not make an appearance in the stands due to press and photographers. Our source says: 'Madonna was in a box with a few other adults at the table watching the horses jump. She had an orange hat on with her hair pulled back. I did not see any kids with her or A-Rod. I know that she is here for two weeks with her trainer'."

As we said before; assuming she's staying in Miami, we wouldn't be too surprised if A-Rod will spotted around...!

Madonna saddles up for horse riding festival

Madonna isn't horsing around when it comes to her Equestrian ambitions - the Queen of Pop is flying out a top British trainer to the U.S. in a bid to transform her into a competitive rider.
The Material Girl star has her sights set on becoming a top-class horsewoman, and has roped in U.K. eventer Daisy Trayford to coach her at the FTI Equestrian Festival at Wellington, Florida in March.
The singer has flown out two horses from the U.K. to help realise her dressage dreams.
And Trayford can't wait to get the star into the paddock - insisting the notoriously tough superstar is a "dream pupil".
She tells Britain's Horse + Hound publication, "She's very driven, listens to what you say and just wants to do it and improve. You can always get somewhere with someone like that. She's a dream pupil. When I started teaching her she hadn't jumped at all and now she can jump a course of 1.05m. Jumping and hacking are her two favourite things."
